This is a 1989 Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Because it was born 18 years ago, the finish has a beautiful deep aged look to it that you simply can't get on the new ones. It has the Les Paul block inlays in the fretboard with two of the chrome humbucker pick-ups. It has some wear on the top of the body where your arm rubs as you play, but only ads to the beauty in my opinion. This is by far the most eye catching Epiphone Les Paul I have ever seen. It definitely has the look of a higher priced Gibson model. Sounds great! Plays great! The neck is straight and the action is good. There is a bit of crackling in the volume pots as you turn the guitar up. I hope to be able to clean them out before the auction ends. If I am not able to find the time, it is an easy fix and not a real problem now. Also comes with the original Epiphone hardshell case. No reserve. An added note to insure accurate item description. There are several dings in the back and on the sides of the guitar. Nothing that compromises the integrity of the guitar in my opinion. They truthfully don't really stand out a ton, they add a bit of character though. Just so I can be accurate though, the guitar is not pristine. It plays and sounds perfect but there are some dings dents and scratches mostly on the back and sides. Light scratching on the top (if you can even see it in the pics) thanks! Happy bidding!
