Vintage Old Silvertone Acoustic Guitar
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-12-18)
Price : US $99.00
Up for auction is a Vintage Silvertone guitar in tobaccoburst finish. The faint numbers inside look to be 4272 H602. One of the websites I researched stated that a guitar with this particular logo on the headstock would be a 40s/early 50s design but I cannot determine an exact age. I have had this guitar for quite a few years and it has played many a song around the campfire. The guitar is not pristeen, nor is it junk. It has surface scratches etc. that you would find on a guitar this old that has been played through the years. The neck joint is solid, there are no cracks in the guitar itself and it is in pretty good shape. There are some minor cracks in the wood of the bridge where the bridge pins go through (as shown in one of the pictures) but it is not a problem. The strings are about 3/16 above the 12th fret so you generally want to play down toward the nut for easier playing. The guitar has binding on the top, bottom, and in the sound hole and it is in good shape. The neck has a heel nut made of the binding material and that is in good shape also. The frets are in very good shape and show almost no wear. I do not have a case but it will be packaged well with appropriate insurance.
I can accept Paypal ONLY if you have the money in your account or if you transfer the money to your account and then pay. I CANNOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS THROUGH PAYPAL so please do not pay that way. I also accept money orders or personal checks. (item won't be shipped until check clears 10-14 days)
