1996 Gibson SG X SG 1 USA made Rosewood fretboard
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2006-07-18)
Price : US $420
Serial # 91696471. Features a sweet red/black fade paintjob, rosewood fretboard and is set up for rock with one humbucker, one volume knob and one tone knob. There is also a channel switch that functions as an on/off switch for the pickup. It features chrome hardware and a Nashville bridge, classic Gibson. Hard case provided.
A few upgrades have been made on this guitars: the stock pickup has been replaced with a high-output Seymour Duncan Invader which has great solid rock tone. The stock tuners have been replaced with a smooth set of sealed Grover tuners which hold it in tune excellently. There were also a few noise problems so all of the wiring was pulled out and professionally replaced. Finally, the truss rod cover on the headstock has been replaced with a blank one.
This guitar has been played and beat around but still plays and sounds excellent. There is some minor fret wear on a few frets, but overall it is in good condition. It has some chips and scratches but nothing major. There is buckle rash on the back as well as pick scratches on the front in the likely spots. It's not pristine, but it sounds like it is.
