Your are viewing a 2004 Ebony & Chrome Epiphone Les Paul Standard. It has some buckle rash on the back and where the pick guard would cover. It also has a few chips on the bottom. I tried, but failed to get pictures of the rash, but got one of the chips. When I got it it had a Seymore Duncan pickup in the neck. It sounds good, but needed something more. So, I added a Dimebucker to the bridge. That turned this into a bad boy! It is definetly a screamer. The upgraded neck complements it well. I'm not sure what model it is, but it is pretty mild. I upgraded the Caps (capacitors) from the little chip to Sprague .022 Orange Drops. Upgrading the caps opened up the sound and gives what is typically called 'the traditional buttery Les Paul sound'. This may seem like a small change, but definitely a step up in sound quality. Contrary to what some sources say, the cap changes the sound even when the tone control is not in use. I tried A/B testing with one end soldered and the other just held in place and the cap does give a warmer sound with more depth. This is a major bang for the buck upgrade.
I set the intonation. It was way off and the spring that hold the parts the string rest on was loose and was replaced. Also, this comes with a nice gig bag.
I have tons of guitars (many more coming to Ebay) and this changes makes this Epi sound better then a $3-400 guitar should. I am on disability and plan on spend s
