This guitar has a Takamine Preamp/Equalizer. It is a killer sounding all solid wood Takamine Santa Fe ESF 40C.Electric with cutaway. this is a Willie Nelson version of a Takamine guitar. There is a clear pickgaurd over hole in top. A pickgaurd is certainly an option that would completely hide the hole. This hole in no way affects the tone(acoustic or amplified).

Solid Cedar top and solid rosewood back and sides.Plays and sounds excellent.Takamine is known for its great electronics(Treble-Mids-Bass-Gain-Battery check button) and rugged road worthiness. This guitar is a true testament to this fact. Original tan deluxe hardshell case. The tuning buttons are rather exotic looking also.Very classy. There is a small repaired crack by soundhole that is shown in picture. The action on this guitar is still excellent as is the playability.

Frets are in very good condition. There are very minor indentions on frets down around where the cowboy chords are(1-3 frets).Neck is straight and action is excellent. No need for a fret dress at this time. This guitar is ready to rock or reggae. There are some minor dings. This was almost a $1400 guitar when new.

i've got this exact same guitar and i love mine. i've also got small hole developing adjacent to the sound hole, but up closer to the fretboard. i guess it shows a different playing technique. what I found interesting is that I have a crack in the sound hole in the EXACT SAME place as shown in the picture. very interesting.
