I contacted the guy above who's selling this Taki. Total Jerk! He spent more time asking personal questions than addressing the guitar. Claims he's some famous songwriter and luthier. Complete whackjob! BEWARE!

nothin' like KOA woods to age well for primo tone. the NP17 is the master of the entire Takamine line. not a fan of the newer ones but classic are indeed classic for a reason. paid $950 for mine used. it has some miles but what wonderful miles they are. a true treasure! god bless

Love the NP17s!!!! I own two, a '95 and a '96. The '95 I scored on Ebay for $695 + shipping. It's in perfect condition. The second I kind of overpaid for because I absolutely wanted a second one for gigs. That one set me back $1200 but it\'s equally as perfect. No difference in build or features between years. Looks like everyone drops in a Fishman. I have one in my '96 and it's much fuller than the stock pre amp. If you can find one in good shape in the $500 to $800 range buy it! it's worth the ching!

One guitar built beautifully, KOA sides and back bring out great sound and wider neck, while unusual, really is comfortable. This one\'s a keeper....

Most awesomely easy playing neck on any A/E I've had the pleasure to play. BIG sound too for an A/E. Martin and Taylor A/E's (most of them) sound tinny, not the NP17. Love mine to bits. Also ages with no structural issues.

I bought mine new in 1998 for $1200. w/case. I haven't found many guitars that feel this good. Can't imagine selling this one. I'm surprised they're not selling for more.

There is one of these exactly as described above on upillar.com. Might be the same seller.

Likely one of the most under rated acoustic guitars ever made. I owned one and regret letting it go. Contact me in regards
