1970s Ventura V-23

The Ventura V-23 is a Japanese made guitar that incorporates design and build elements from both the Gibson Hummingbird and Gibson Dove. Beautiful sound and playability. Later models look exactly like the Gibson Dove, and a new V-23S was introduced that looked exactly like a Hummingbird. The craftsmanship is top notch. It has a huge sound almost exactly like it's Gibson lookalikes.

i bought a ventura v-23 last year from a guy that had a music store in the '70s. he kept 1 of the 12 ventura v-23's he ordered. it looks to be mahogany with a herringbone inlay all around the top. i took it to the best restoration shop in a large city near me and had it completely gone over. the neck was almost perfectly straight and he did a little work on the frets because i had a few that buzzed. what struck me as unusual was the mahogany,AND it has a brass bridge and pegs. it's a beautiful guitar and after the many,(50 to 70), guitars i've owned, it sounds as good, if not better than any high quality acoustic i've had.
