Well, I'm letting another one of my beauties go. Here is my all original 1951 Epiphone Zephyr Regent Archtop, serial number 61755. She was made in New York 57 years ago and is in great shape for her age. She has the original Epsilon tuners, 'New York' pickup and dark blue Lifton alligator case with the raised Epiphone 'E' on the inside of the lid. The case is in great shape for its age also and has done a great job protecting this beauty over the last 5 decades. The neck feels nice, not a fat chunky neck. It feels as if it almost goes into a soft V up towards the nut. I don't see much fretware and by her condition, I don't think she was played alot in her life. I've got 10's on her (because I have wimpy fingers) but I think she would sound even better with 12’s. Playing her unplugged, she really rings. There's something about old wood that really resonates. Plugged in, she's fun, yet elegant. I've always loved the tone. The finish on the top is in great shape with very minimal checking. A little checking on the headstock, and the back has checking that is a little more prevalent. No buckle rash of any kind and I don't really see any dings on her either. There are 3 paint chips on the back of the headstock that can be seen in one of the pictures. The binding is in great shape but I found 2 spots on the back where it looks like the binding separated a little from the wood (and someone tried to fill the gap with putty and re-stain it). They're not that big of a deal but I wanted to mention them so there are no surprises (they actually did a good job). Also, the neck is bound all the way
