You are bidding on a MINT 2002 Taylor Guitars 614-CE from their Custom Shop in El Cajon, CA. It has been played less than 20 times in the years I have had it. It is indistinguishable from a brand-new Taylor. For those of you who know Taylors, there is no equal in the craftsmanship, tone, and appeal that these fabulous creations bring. The 614-CE sounds exquisite with big leaf maple and Sitka spruce, enhanced by the Grand Auditorium body design. Together the woods create a bright, crystalline timbre with outstanding projection and warm overtones.
The bright tone of this Taylor guitar is further enhanced by the Grand Auditorium body style with its Venetian cutaway. The 614-CE Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.
Standard Features include a beautiful abalone rosette, white binding, and artful abalone fretboard inlays. Custom Appointments include a rosewood headstock overlay, ebony tuners, and a wider neck. Standard 6-string models have a 1 3/4' neck. This custom order has a 1 7/8' neck found on 12-string models, making the accessibility and comfort in playing unsurpassed. Many of my friends have commented on their surprise at the ease of its playability. Distinct from stock Taylor models, this guitar was equipped at the factory with the L.R. Baggs iMix system. This is the system Phil Keaggy uses for all his studio work. It allows for the precise level of control you want when plugged in.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor
