This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-08-22)
Price : US $5,500.
This is a beautiful guitar. It's a Collings CJ (Custom Jumbo) with the Brazilian rosewood back and sides and Adirondack spruce top. Nut width is 1-11/16' and scale length is 25-1/2.' It has herringbone trim, tortoise style pickguard, abalone rosette and custom MOP inlays on the fretboard. There are no cracks or excessive playing wear -- the guitar is used -- but never outside of my house - I've owned it since 2002. The sound is amazing - this is one nice guitar, and I'm sorry to have to sell it. It comes with the original hardshell case
the winning bid is over $6000, I'll ship it for free. Otherwise, the
shipping cost will be the actual cost of professional packing, shipping and insurance, no greater than $150.
The inside label says 5/98 CJ-BaA. When I asked Collings to look up the serial number, they replied as follows: 'Yes, Brazilian/Adirondack is the correct
terminology. With the serial number you gave me, I was able to look up your
specific guitar. The current list price is $8,550. ' This very special guitar is being advertised locally as well as on eBay, so I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells somewhere else first.
