1948 Harmony Roy Smeck H 57 Archtop Project
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-07-29)
Price : US $137.50
Guitar is a Harmony Roy Smeck Inside date stamp is F48 indicating the 1948 production date. Serial # 4720H57 indicting Model H57 which is the Roy Smeck acoustic electric archtop. I have included a picture of a 62 Roy Smeck so you could get an idea of what the original headstock may have looked like before it was painted over. This guitar is being sold as a project, It will need new tuners as the originals are shot. It will need the neck restored either by sanding it down and living with a smaller neck size or removeing enough wood so you can patch it or whatever, the neck has serious divots on the back. All of the original electronics have been removed. It would be nice to have to mounting hardware in tact but one would want to rewire, and put a new pick up even if they were in tact, and that goes for the tuners as well. Guitar is strung up and has close action, it will actually play acoustically but you cant tune it because the tuners are fried. Neck is straight, and there is no structural damage other than what is mentioned. Neck is flush with the body and there is no separation. The photos of the compete instrument are from a 62 instrument. Please, there is only one guitar, the other is pictured so you can see how it is supposed to look. And how it may look if you restore it. Item is being sold as is for project.
Comes with original Alligator case.
Winning bid to pay $24.50 fully insured shipping in the USA. This is a no reserve auction sold as is to the highest bidder. This is a used item with no warranty. The return policy is listed below.
