This is a hand made guitar by master luthier Bruce Wei. As far as I know, this guitar is unique (not another one just like it). The body is solid maple with rosewood fingerboard (not sure about the wood on the neck). As you can see, this guitar is a showpiece, beautifully designed, same basic design as a Gibson scroll mandolin--except on a larger scale. Lovely mother of pearl inlay along the front contour and another design on the back. Each inlay on the fretboard is different. The color is a black to indigo blue burst (the blue is almost black in color, very dark and rich).

A Kent Armstrong pickup has been added with a volume control on the finger rest with an output jack beneath the fingerboard.

The guitar has D'Addario flat wound strings and sounds great through my Polytne minibrute. However, I have not played it alot and so it really needs to be played to get the pores of the solid woods opened up to warm up the tone.

The neck is rather chunky, like many of the old jazz guitars but I also play a Selmer style guitar and a classical guitar both of which also have chunky necks, so i am used to it. So, the buyer of this guitar should be ok with that and probably be someone who plays jazz where this guitar can be a kind of occasional showpiece. Anyway, that is how I see it.
