1981 Gibson Victory MV II. 2 hums, 3 way blade switch, one volume and one tone, coil splitter. This guitar was refinished long ago in a white/gold crackle finish, in the same vein as alot of 80's guitar were. Think Jackson/Charvel finishes. I guess this guitar was the victim of a youngster who wanted his Gibson to look more like the other popular makes floatin' around at the time. It's actually a pretty cool finish. It was clear coated and the clear has aged to a yellowish color like real nitro, which it may be. It also has some checking so it really looks old. The original finish was left on the neck and headstock and only the body was painted. This guitar would have originally been Antique Cherry Sunburst. It has no breaks or repairs and plays really well. It has a rosewood fretboard and 22 frets, The frets are in good shape and have alot of life left. Other than the paintjob, it appears to be all original except for the addition of an ABR style tune-o-matic.
No case, but I will pack it for war. I will try to add some better pics later, it was overcast when I listed and I photographed it inside.
