1979 Yamaha SG 1500
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-09-07)
Price : US $1,188.
This is a 1979 Yamaha SG 1500 in translucent beetle green. The body is a neck-through design with alternating maple and mahogany (body is principally mahogany), with a four-ply black and white binding on the top. It has a rosewood fret board. There are two humbucking pickups, controlled by two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three way selector switch. The translucent finish allows the beauty of the wood grain to be seen. The headstock and fret board are inlaid with mother of pearl. The hardware is gold in color, most likely gold plate. The tuning machines are marked as being Yamaha. This instrument was not produced for U.S. distribution; my research indicates that this color was not available in U.S. markets. This guitar is in pristine condition, with no dings, scratches, etc. The metal is developing the patina that one would expect to see on a 30 year old instrument. The neck-through design really allows for great sustain....especially after aging for 30 years. Sale includes what I believe to be the original hard shell case.

I have a black SG 1500 with a few nicks on the body, missing tuning key and no case. I am looking for a tuning key and or to sell the guitar.
