Price : US $16,000
This is the hand made acustic dreadnaught everyone wants to own. Whether you are buying as an investment or as an outstanding musical instrument you will want to consider this one. It is in as near perfect original condition as you are likely to ever find. It is entirely as shown in the pictures with no serious issues. I see no evidence of any repairs and the owner does not know of any repairs being done. There are some drying cracks in the front which did not show in the pictures. There is a scratch on the back as you can see in the picture. There are other very minor surface scratches as you would find on any guitar which has been played. It was purchased in the late 1940's by Jack Moore who played in the Honky Tonks in and around Peoria, Illinois at that time. He traded it to the father of the current owner for a gun in the 1960's, Since then it has been lovingly stored and has played folk songs for pleasure on several occasions. The tone is beautiful and unlikely to be equalled by many other guitars. According to C. F. Martin and Sons records, this serial number 102567 was born in Nazareth Pa. in 1947. This desirable instrument will sell to the highest bidder with no reserve! It will be shipped in the case which is with it. That case may be original, but is in rough condition. It will help protect the guitar during shipping. Dont let this opportunity to buy this great guitar slip by!
