Price : US $1,526.
You are bidding on a 1936 Martin C-1 archtop acoustic guitar (serial number 63979) in good condition. The C series was only made from 1932-1943 and is subsequently hard to find. This particular example features an arched spruce top in sunburst finish, arched mahogany back and sides in natural finish, 14-fret neck, ebony fretboard, black plastic pickguard, nickel-plated tailpiece and ebony bridge. The tuners have been replaced with period-correct open-back grovers. There is a very small (about one inch) crack in the top side of the body (pictured with measuring tape). There is little to no fret or neck wear. The guitar plays and intonates very well at all positions on the neck. There are a number of distress marks in the finish of the guitar's front, most notably a small patch of strumming marks just above the fretboard opposite the pickguard (these are hard to see as they blend with the sunburst finish- see photo). The guitar has a beautiful, mellow tone that's great for folk and jazz chording, soloing, and fingerpicking blues. Think David Rawlings on Time(The Revelator). This is a much-loved piece that will shine onstage, in the studio, or in any collection. Comes with non-original 1970's Martin hardshell case
Item will be double packed. Bidders must have at least ten ebay transactions. Winning bidder pays shipping and insurance. PayPal preferred. No International bidders. Item ships to lower 48 states only. Guiatr sold As Is- No Returns.
