Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. Your bidding on a 1989 Yamaha RGZ 611M. Its in great overall shape and the craftsmanship on these earlier yamaha guitars is phenomenal. It comes with what seem to be a seymour duncan screamin' demon bridge pickup and a lil' screamin' demon neck pickup. The wiring on this guitar is nice. The bottom mini switch splits the bridge. The upper mini switch is a three way, one which makes the bridge by-pass the everything and goes directly to the jack. The middle position is like a standard three way and the top position adds these little resititors in the back which compensate for the volume loss and give the pickups the same shine when the volume knob isn't turned all the way up. The jack insert also is a nice touch.
The neck isn't super flat but not chunky at all and is equipped with 24 jumbo, possibly super jumbo frets. They are really really big, action is pretty low as well so its a great touch and go guitar.
The bridge is also another interesting yamaha design. You can dual load strings either by loading them in the back like a non locking tremolo, or you can lock off that part and cut the ball end off like a normal locking tremolo. I am not the original owner of the guitar so it came the way you see it. I never got around to getting the locking nut clamps and tremolo arm. Its completely playable without either though.
The body is basswood I believe and is a very very yellow paint. The neck is maple with a very nice quartersawn maple fretboard which has that typical shredder flat radius. This guitar is awesome overall. It comes with a fender gigbag and will be packed ve
