I am selling this JS1000 Satch guitar after having owned it for only a few months. I have coveted this guitar since its inception. I have been a big fan of Ibanez rock guitars since the original 550 series back in the late 80's and have owned various models since and will always keep my first Ibanez from the mid 70's. I am selling because it dawned on me the other day that I play my other 2 guitars that I purchased around the same period more. I have lost or outgrown my enthusiasm for these types of guitars.
On to the guitar itself: It is in near mint shape. I cannot find any cosmetic, mechanical or electronic flaws. The Black Pearl finish is beautifully understated and the neck is not your typical flat Wizard board. It actually has some curvature. The frets are smaller and fret ends smooth up and down the neck. It is still a fast playing fretboard. The Edge trem is, as I have always maintained, one of the best out there. It is redesigned so you don't have to cut the ball end of the string off.
The pick ups and the switching system is what sets this guitar apart from others of the same ilk. The push/pull tone pot splits the 2 DiMarzio humbuckers to give you very pleasing Strat tones. The push/pull volume pot activates a sort of treble enhancer so you don't lose the highs as you roll down the volume. In humbucker mode the guitar is a straight ahead rock machine. The pick ups combined with the switching make this one of the most versatile guitars out there.
