This is a vintage old parlor guitar, handmade in Germany. The label inside says ''Walthari, Mittenwald''. No date, I think it was made around 1950 to 1960, maybe earlier. It is a slim guitar, good condition for its age and playable, but needs some work and restoration. Beautiful selected woods, top finest spruce, sides solid maple, the back probably laminated maple.
The tuners (one knob is missing) work well, fine carved head, rosewood fingerboard with 10 frets, 7 frets (one is missing) at the table, nice and unusual original bridge. Two bridge pins are missing. The neck is good playable, but it has a slight concave bow (action 12th fret about 5 mm). 3 old nylon strings, a new set of nylons is necessary.
Some cracks at the top, many signs of use like scratches and small damages to the varnish.
Dimensions: Total length 94,5cm, scale length 62cm, largest width of the body 29,5cm, sides about 8cm, nut 4,2cm, 12th fret 5,3cm. Included is an old bag. All in all a very interesting instrument with good substance for the player or any collection.
