I'm a keyboard player, but I bought this from a guy in the 70's thinking I wanted to learn the bass. Well, when your job is keyboard, strings, etc, there wasn't the time, and maybe a lack of interest.. Well, right after I bought this, our bass player quit and so we put our rhythm man on the bass (This bass) for several weeks until he could swing getting a guitar of his own. That's the busiest this Grabber has been in all it's years. I had a teen-age son of a friend fool around with it at the house when he'd come over, but other than that, it's been in the case, under the bed, in a music room, or wherever it would fit.
There's a tiny ding on the back side of the neck by the tuning pegs. No buckle marks, minor scratches but they're not penetrating the wood,& Just a few hair- like lines on the back. After doing research to sell, I realize this is suppose to have a name plate, which it doesn't. But other than that, I think it is absolutely beautiful. And it has the original Gibson hard shell case with red interior. Great Shape, considering their age!Oh , yes, and the cereal # on the back is hard to read, especially at the end, but I believe it is 39763?(6 or 8?) Also says Made in USA. I don't know anything about the mechanics, but I do know it's beautiful. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer as best as I can. Thanks for looking. And, I will include insurance with shipping.
