RARE, VINTAGE
GUILD
MARK I
MAHOGHANY
CLASSICAL

For your consideration is a gorgeous old GUILD MARK I Classical Guitar
made out of the most beautiful mohoghany timber. It sounds
beautiful, warm and resonant...even with old strings.
This guitar is from the 1950's or 1960's.
Here are some measurements and specs.  Total length of the guitar is 39 inches. The body
is 20-3/8 inches...the lower bout is 14-3/8'' across; the upper bout is 11'' wide. The body
is 3-5/8'' deep at the top...and deepens to 3-3/4'' at the bottom. The nut is 2'' wide.
The distance from the nut to the middle of the bridge is 26 inches.  The height of the
strings off the neck between the nut and the first fret is about 1/16 inch.  At the 15th
fret it is 1/4 inch.  The bridge is rosewood, I believe and measures 7-1/2 inches wide
(the wood part);  the part of the bridge where the strings attach is 3-1/4 inches wide.
This is a fantastic, rare and unusual guitar from one of America's finest guitar makers.
The label is shown in the pictures below and appears original to the guitar. This guitar
is in excellent playing condition with a full rich sound, and according to our
local music shop it has good action, and it is in all original condition.

Just bought one today 5-7-10 for $100.00. It has a cracked top that can be fixed, but man this guitar is sweet sounding, rich!
