Vintage Gibson ES-125 Semi-Electric Archtop Guitar

1950. Serial #Z 3223 23

I think this guitar is part of the Gibson ES series. I am not sure so you guitar geeks please let me know anything helpful so I can update the ad correctly (revised as stated). I really don’t know what year? i am told it is 1950 now? I could find no serial number on the OUTSIDE of the guitar anywhere. There is not Gibson sticker in the inside. It says only this stamped number# Z 3223 23. Just lihe that with spaces in between. It is missing its original tuners. There are other tuners in there (Grover) and some holes were drilled for that purpose. That’s a dam shame because the guitar sounds great and otherwise All original. The only other problem is in the headstock there is a crack, it looks to be professionally repaired but yeah there is crack. Not a small one, a big crack. Lets get that out of the way.

These can be easily removed with the correct solvent. I didn’t want to fool with it sans wiping off some dust marks. I was too worried that I would scuff it up or something. That really is the only other cosmetic blemish (and it removable) on the entire guitar.

Its got some minor cosmetic problems and cracking in the finish but man it plays great, sounds great, looks cool and its ready for it new owner.

I’m sure I’l
