HELLO! Up on the classical guitar auction block is my 1999 Kenny Hill Munich. This model was made in Paracho Mexico when the Hill guitar company was building there.I purchased this one used five years ago. It has been used for recording and gigging since then. She's a road warrior guitar with the battle scars to prove it! The Mexican built Hill guitars have been known to adapt to the midwest with some reluctance. There are two reasons for this, major climate difference and the fact that these great sounding guitars were built lightly. The latter of these two ''issues'' is why they are so well regarded. The guitar has a crack along the bass side fingerboard and another in the top from the bridge to the bottom about 1 inch north of the center seam. She also has two cracks on the back about two inches on either side of the center strip. They run from the bottom to the first cross brace. All of these ''Badges of honor'' have been glued, cleated and touched up. The top has been over shellaced in the traditional method. Or at least as traditional as a guy from Wisconsin can make it! The back still needs a little drop fill or over spray to hide the cracks. They are close but another round of elbow grease would make them almost disapear. All of this damage was provided a no extra charge by our buddies at Fedex. This was about 3 three years ago. Nothing is moving and the guitar plays fine. I have played a few of these and this one holds it's own nicely. The guitar has a K&K Pure Classical pickup and end pin jack installed. It sounds very natural when plugged in. None of that dead duck sound that you get with under saddle pickups. Ther
