1965 Kay 803C combo tube guitar amp, no logo but I’ve had a few of these before. 8” alnico speaker (original), tubes are 18GD6A, 60FX5, 36AM3. Amp works and has a pretty cool overdriven tone at full blast, probably only a couple of watts. Plugging my old Rat distortion into this with the distortion backed off gave more volume and a bit more crunch; might be a good recording amp. Pot and jacks cleaned (DeOxit D5) and tightened. When I was play-testing this it had a split-second volume drop once; I ran it an hour at good volume with a test tone signal through it and never had it do it again… even while giving it a little shaking and tapping. Cosmetically way above average, the schematic inside looks like it has some mouse nibbling. Minor marks, a couple of small bare spots at top corners. Knobs show a little wear. Gave it a quick cleanup but detailed cleaning would make it look nicer. Cool little amp for playing and collecting, will remove and bubblepack tubes. Actual item for sale is pictured.
