I bought my totally stock 1969 Les Paul Professional in 1978. The DiMarzio Supper Distortion P/U had just come out and this georgous sounding LP Pro was just ignored. So after a year I bought it for $265.00 w/o a case. I had an old acoustic case that it did fit in, so I've got, what I think, is alot experience with this guitar. It's the perfect copy band guitar, because it can do Tele,Strat.Les Paul, 335 tones and more. Unfortunately it weighs in at 16.5 lbs. I still love the neck and feel.

PS the 1969 I have was dropped at one point. There was some damage to the output Jack area, some compression splentering, so I had Gibson do a Gold Top finish after all repairs and it's the ONLY gold top in far as I know. Looks awesome. I'll post some pics soon.
