A friend of mine had one in the 1980s.Exactly like this one. His"Tree of Life"had the effects plug-in modules that snapped into a cavity in the back of the body.Electra guitars where a relatively common sight among those of us who played in the 70s.I dont recall seeing to many around in the past 20 yrs. Thanks for letting me see your really great guitar.

An amazing guitar,a superb guitarist , i spent four hours with him at the Veterans Hospital a few years back, the guitars real, the guys not showing his age at all,in his 50s looks in his late 30s and this guitar is like brand new in condition.Hes had his ups and downs but the guitar is his life and considering what hes lost in life youd never know just by looking at him when this guitar is in his hands. If i had the money this is the guitar id want ,one of a kind custom made fo him by electra.1975-2009 not bad,not bad at all

They should send this man to do a show for the troops,he\\\'d have the terrorists screaming bloody mercy, and if you thought he could play you should hear him sing. This Marine does justice, and his service to the Marine Corps is well known at major VA hospitals around the country, you know Sonny, hes got a way of popping up and vanishing before youre eyes, hes not one to stay around for the thanks.tHANKS sONNY,YOUVE DONE ALOT FOR US HERE,AND WELL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL .

Well, looking at it this way,its already 2009, and the guitar is a 1975 old millenium, craftsmanship that doesnt really exist except in super high end models,34 year old mint solid mahoghany, carved face, mother of pearl inlay, and a decorative inlay at that, and Les Paul style body, ivory edging, very nice humbuckers, and a flat rack (Chrome covered humbucker)very nice three way, this guitar is most provocative not only in its appearance, but also in the quality of the sound it is capable of producing.AAA+

Yep,i know the guy youre talking about, went to college with him after he came out of the Marines,he worked with Gemini Galleries, the sole provider of authentic art deco to Miami Vice the television series, had pics of him on a plane in the very early seventies in uniform heading to California to a duty station and was on the plane with David Bowie,Woody Woomannsey,Trevor Bolder, and Mick Ronson,a few days later they did the concert Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars ,and recorded the live album live from Santa Monica Sports Auditorium, and then he went off with David Crosby,Jerry Garcia ,adn Ned Lagin to do the pic for the front cover of Lagins album SEASTONES.He had a wall of pics and boxes of the stuff.

I remember the guitar and the guy,he looked like Jeff Beck,he played a hell of alot better before he lost his child back in 1990,he disapeared in the adirondacks for about ten years, hung around the area Yoko Ono,and Bob Denver lived in,saw him back in the mid ninetys, used to come out and play alot before then,he Robert Palmer, the band Cinderella, alot of those guys used to get together and jam here, great guitarists, and i can vouch for the guitar,he walked from a marriage and that was all he wanted and he left everything else.

I went to college with him,he has a longer list of famous people in his family than that,he just never talked about it,he went off into the marines ,leaving high school in the beginning of tenth grade, never relied on his family for anything,he was only 16 when he signed up,and that was two and a half years before Nam was over, his grandmother was Clint Eastwoods aunt, another one was Louie Prima, and Don Amici, almost all of the people that were listed in these comments were first cousins,i noticed that Vince Consalo manager of REO speedwagon wasnt listed,oh he had his connections alright, all the way from being the top of his music as a child, when he was about 14 he was in the studio control booth at Atlantic Records in NYC when it was located in an old warehouse,he was there to observe Led Zeppelin at work on their first album, and a short time either before he was in the studio with Black Sabbath, and that had to be 1968 or 69,and about the plane with the spiders from mars,it happened alright and he felt stupis as he was all the way at the back of the plane,he was there because he said he wanted to be the last off, because after his next duty staion (Camp Pendleton)he was heading for Okinawa, then nam and he wanted to make the best of it while he had the chance, lol)he was looking out the window somewhere over the midwest as the plane had left Phila, and was going to lax,and he heard a commotion up front and these wildly dressed guys were heading to the back,so he turned back to look out the window,he said someone sat next to him and he felt someone touch his leg and he looked over and it was this dude with red hair like a pixie cut but longer, and he about jumped out of his seat, the guy began to ask him about the service and where he was going, and then asked him if hed ever heard of Space Oddity,he replied yes ,that was a Stanley Kubrick film wasnt it?2001 space odessey, and the guy with the red hair replied \"yes something like that, and then the mucician handed him a business card and before he did he wrote his name and address on the back and his phone number and told him to contact him if and when he made it back.Yep,the owner of that guitar was with contacts, all the way from the streets to the white house, and what many never knew is he was the good friends of everyone that was someone that mattered,he was the sole confidant to Buddy and Meyer Lansky,he and his son used to go to Pumpernicks in Miami Beach for bagels, and hed meet up with the gang and sit and listen,he never spoke about much that he heard and thats why he was trusted, and after the death of his son he opened up a little, and shed some grief ,left his wife the day of the entombment and never spoke to her again, his son spoke to him about something hed seen just prior to his death, and that was it,this guy vanished, and you hear about him from time to time, usually kicking the hell out of someone that was ignorant, but he was fair,he always gave a warning,he was mugged in jersey back in the early 90s,and was carrying an armfull of stuff and the mugger accroding to witnesses hit him 7 times with a bat,and the whole time he kept the case in his hands, and tried to advise the mugger,\"i dont think you really want to do this\"and on the 8th swing he threw the case up in the air swung dropped the guy cold ,caught the case ,sat it down picked the guy up and threw him facefirst through the muggers camaro window. The crowd applauded,he walked away, and that was the last id heard.A good dude ,a great guitarist and a sad man, never the same after losing the boy,and maybe the guitar carrys all of the memories. There is a reason i know so much about hom and alot more,he was my brother in law,and as hard as it was for him to go,i knew he had to,my sister still thinks he left because of the child dying in his arms, but it wasnt that, the son saw my sisters indiscretion concerning someone else, and he told his dad,and he dad decided to walk away instead of her knowing the boy knew, talk about dignity and honor ,father and son alike.I wish him the best.
