197? Takeharu acoustic guitar

This is a favorite of mine, We have Gibson's, Martin's, Taylors etc.in the studio and in "many cases" this guitar is so superior. Plays perfect, very well balanced and has a very warm voice yet its barkes authority when pushed. No it is not for sale, we are posting this by request only. Thanks

Just bought a Takaharu Hummingbird copy in a second hand store. Sounds absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the label inside has been removed, so no model details. Can anyone help with model number and a bit of history and also what it is worth? Thanks (adrian.bam@hotmail.com)

I have one too. Im suprised to read because i have never seen nor heard anything about this guitar before except when i bought it. I was told it was a copy of a hummingbird. Thats it. Many a great muso has admired its tone and light action. Mine is exactly the same as the one in the photo above...and no its not for sale either!!

I forgot to mention i paid $280 AUD back in 1991 for mine. I had a luthier re-glue the internal timber as the bridge was slowly buckling the top and had loosened the structural bits inside. I play it quite a bit as its been my traveller since i bought it. That same year i bought a 73 Strat for $900Aud which i still have. Sunburst with maple neck and fretboard. To this day i hardly play it!!
