Here is an incredible Hamer guitar. If I read the serial number right it is a 1989 model. For an almost 20 year old guitar this thing is in amazing condition. I could find three dings and tried to get a pic of them. One is on the front and it didn't show up too well in the pic. But it is in the pic of the close up next to the bridge. It is a couple inches from the bridge and is extremely small. There is another on the back edge by the output jack. Not very noticeable at all. The worst of the three is on the back right at the edge of the control cavity plate. You can see that one pretty well in the pic. But again, this ding is very small. Also, it has fine pick scratches that are easily buffed out. Just normal wear and tear. This thing looks even better in person! Most of the electronics have been replaced. All except the mini switch have been replaced. The pots are Hamer. It has Seymour Duncan Parallel Axis pickups. The mini switch is a lead preset switch. Basically, no matter what position the 5 way switch is in, if you switch the miniswitch it goes straight to the bridge humbucker. Most Vintage S's came with an onboard preamp that was adjustable through 4 access holes in the cavity plate on the back. I have a Copeland TC300 preamp that they came with and the cavity plate that I can include if you like. I also have an EMG HEQ-E preamp that also works on these and mounts/adjusts the same as the Copeland unit does if you'd rather have that one. The body is flamed maple. Highly figured as you can see. The neck is just as beautiful being Birdseye Maple. And the fretboard as far as I can tell is Rosewood. Most Vintage S's came with a P

I realize this post is going on three years old but I figured I'd take a shot---do you still have that EMG HEQ-E preamp? I'd be interested in buying it from you. br.gilmore@gmail.com
