36 inch long, parlor sized Guitar.   Five Star brand.  Made in the USA.  Probably made around 1965-1970.  Possibly made by Harmony in Chicago, I do not know for sure.

Looks good structurally.  Neck joint is tight.  Neck looks straight to me.  Tuners look good and are not bent, but a couple turn harder than I like.  No binding.  Top and bottom well glued to the body.  Looks orriginal.  Nothing loose inside.

Plays pretty well.   Action is fair to good.   Fret board to top of the big E string is less than 1/4 inch at the 12th fret.  Neck is typically fat looking, but works well in my not large hands.  Frets are small and made of brass with little or no wear.   Fret board is nice looking wood- it looks like rosewood, but I am unsure of that.  Nice white star fret markers.  The top looks like a laminated wood.

Sound and tone?  It sounds like one of these stoutly and inexpensively USA made gutars should sound- maybe a little better.  Volume is good, pretty loud for a comfortably sized guitar.  Tone is good for bluesy stuff, especially (to my ear) to picked stuff in E and fingerpicked stuff in G.  If my Martin Dread is a 9 for tone and 9 for playability, this guitar is a 6 and a 6.   Truly good for what it is.
