This is a vintage Martin 00-17 all mahogany guitar with lots of history and character! Keep in mind it is a 63 year old guitar. I will describe it as such: It is funky and not a collector's item but it IS solid! Original tuners, neck and headstock, and bridge. My luthier has just set it up and it will come with new strings and is ready to play. It has a very vintage ''hula girl'' decal on the headstock that is so old and classic that it just has to stay with this piece. This guitar at sometime in it's life had a pickup and controls and an input jack in the lower bout. These are all long gone and ''repaired''. The photo of the pickguard shows where the old tone and volume pots were repaired just below it. Holes filled in the pickguard and soundboard above the soundhole are also filled. The body has been ''stained'' at sometime to hide these things. The bridge was stripped and is Brazilian as is the fret board. This is a great guitar and sounds incredible! Nice dry, old wood as only a Martin would! Light as a feather too. Retains original pegs and strap button.A real showstopper. I get more interest in this guitar than any of my new ones by far! OK, this guitar is WAY cool, but not a showpiece! Sorry, no case but they are plentiful. If you like funky, then bid! I will answer all questions as best I can. Please look carefully, as this is a final sale, no returns - but I have decribed it faithfully. I just spent $350 at my luthier's shop, no loose braces. Good Luck and God Bless, Thanks for stopping by!
