Vintage 1957 Gibson LG 2 Acoustic
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-10-16)
Price : US $1,900.
ALL ORIGINAL excellent playing and sounding LG-2. Forced to sell due to financial difficulties.
This guitar is a few small scratches away from being a mint condition 50's Gibson. All original except for the bridge pins. I paid nearly $3500 for her just two years ago. Unfortunately I do not have time to wait for the right buyer at this point and I'm forced to get what I can for her.
This guitar is extremely comfortable to play. The action is fantastic all the way up the neck, the tuners work smoothly - none of that sticky/jerky vintage nonsense, and the intonation is near perfect. There are no cracks anywhere on the guitar and the bridge is not coming up whatsoever. Very minimal fret wear. The only oddity I can find is on the headstock - at first glance it appears one of the tuning keys is bent - actually one of the tuning strips is very SLIGHTLY askew from the other. Please have a look for yourself.

In case you've never played an LG-2, the sound is very
woody, balanced with the characteristic dryness that a vintage Gibson
will have. If you want to hear her, just post a question with your
email address and I'll send you a clip. But beware - after you hear her you're going to bid. I'm dead serious :-)
Comes with original alligator case. Case is a little beat up, same condition as when I purchased.
