This is a 1954 Gretsch Synchromatic model 100 archtop guitar. It's been in a closet for a very long time. I took it to a luthier and had it cleaned up, adjusted, serviced and new strings. He had to reset some of the binding where it had popped loose. It is all original except for the tuning machines. Condition wise, the luthier said he would rate it about 7 out of 10. The action is low and it has the adjustable stairstep bridge. It has the lifting or crazing of the grain under the finish on the front, consistent with its age (he said this would not effect the value) and a thin line on the back running length-wise. It doesn't flex or seperate when pressed so I think its a surface separation. There are a few small mars in the finish but no scratches. I understand these guitars often have binding and headstock shrinkage. I don't see any here and no evidence of repairs. No case. Will ship to USA only. SAVE on shipping!
