You are bidding on a 1961 Silvertone Electric Guitar. I have often times seen it referred to as a Jupiter model, but I don't know if it really had a model name. It is in original condition and what I consider to be very good condition for a guitar of its age. It comes with the original case which is also in very good condition with no tears in the red lining. The guitar itself has some very minor blemishes. There is a small crack in the pick guard just below the front pickup, it is missing one knob but the ''pot'' is still functioning, and it is missing four of the tiny screws that hold the pick guard on. The guard does stay in position and won't fall off. This is the way the guitar was when I got it. I played it some but it's never been banged around at any gigs. It has a very unique tone and the components used to make these guitars were of high quality. I have since taken up playing the drums and just really don't play it anymore. It is a wonderful vintage guitar and I hate to see it just sit there. I would much rather someone who is a guitar player or collector have it and keep this great guitar alive. You will notice that there are no strings on it in the photos above. This is because I have had it in storage for quite some time and didn't want to put any unnecessary strain on the neck or allow the strings to damage the frets from sitting on them for an extended period of time. It was stored in a good climate and has no damage due to humidity. The neck is straight and the electrical functions of the guitar are in working order.
