Up for Auction is my 1964 Gibson ES-175 with dual patent number pickups. Everything about this guitar is super clean. Straight neck, fat rounded frets, All Nickel Hardware, medium neck profile with zero wear, perfectly clean fretboard, perfectly working tuners that are not bent or chipped in any way. The only maintenance I've done is some light (non-abrasive) polishing of the body only, and changed the strings. The rubber grommet looks as if it was molded yesterday. The guitar jack is perfect w/out crackles. No dings. The pickguard is (almost) straight. But its not, it has the typical SLIGHT bowing from 45 years of storage. The best part about this guitar is that it has a very unique fretboard/nut width...
After a lot of research, I realized that despite all that Gibson tried to do after around 1964 to screw up a good thing, the dedicated Gibson workers sometimes took matters into their own hands! ***** (very unpredictable neck sizes and widths) The nut width on this baby is 1 21/32 inches. Yes you read correctly. This is not the 2 narrower sized necks(1 9/16, 1 5/8) nor is it one of the super fat baseball bat necks of the very early 175's. It's perfect. 'll be glad to send you any pictures you like whether they be close up or any personalized shots you require including my micrometer. I%2
