Up for auction is a very nice, near mint, YAMAHA  AES 500 elect. guitar. This is a very nice, rugged, well built guitar as with most all YAMAHA'S. I included it in the acoustic section just to temp other YAMAHA fans. It has a unique single cutaway body style with 2 humbucker pickups, a coil splitter on the tone knob that changes it to single coil, a very nice satin finished maple neck, adj. wrap around bridge and unique pearoid pick guard and access covers on back. It has a very pretty gold met finish that is  scratch free. In fact ther are no scratches anywhere that I can find. These are very nice playing guitars with a nice warm tone with selector set to the neck p/u, almost acoustic sounding, a good crunch on the bridge p/u,and brighter when switching to single coil. They sold for around 600.00 when new. These are much better built than say a Mexican Fender or any other model in it's price range as with most Yamahas and should last for decades with proper care.I'm a 30 year musician who has owned 30 plus guitars and I find Yamahas to be the best built, most durable products in their price range. It is a very versatile guitar but mostly suited to blues, southern rock or country, It would make a nice addition to your collection even if you mainly play acoustics. Everyone needs at least one their stable. Thats why I decided to sell this one,I have about 8 other guitars, all of which are acoustics except for my Peavey T-60 which has been my main elect. for the last 25 years and this Yamaha, which is too simular to it, ( p/u arrangement, sound, etc.) to ju
