Okay, here's what I have. 1960 Fender Stratocaster neck with original Kluson tuners. I bought this neck about 11 years ago off a buddy with the intention of building a 1960 Strat with original parts. I was never able to track down the necessary parts so it has been sitting in a box in my studio ever since. The good: This neck is a real 1960 Fender with original tuners. The fingerboard is in really good shape and the clay dots still look fantastic. The neck is thin and comfortable. Overall the neck is in great shape. It's straight and the truss rod is fully functional. The tuners are fully functional and only lightly worn. The bad: As you can see in picture #3, someone had some sort of locking system installed on this guitar. I know...WHY? By the time I got my hands on this neck, it had been professionally repaired. It appears that maple plugs were installed and finished over. Whoever did the repair did a wonderful job. The feel and finish on the back of the neck feels and looks stock and original. This guitar has been professionally refretted with medium frets. I'm guessing the fingerboard was never disturbed because it is still thick and shows typical signs of wear for a guitar of this age. About this auction: I have 100% feedback and I plan on keeping it that way. If you have questions please feel free to contact me. This neck is a wonderful piece of history and I hope someone will put it to good use. I will be shipping the neck professionally boxed
