Lefty left handed Gibson '60s SG w/Bigsby
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-11-15)
Price : US $750.00
This is a real left-handed 1960s Gibson SG Standard that has been heavily modified.
First, it has had a headstock break that was professionally repaired (see picture of back of head/neck). It's solid as a rock now.
It had a third humbucking pickup added to it some time in the past (before I owned it). There is a mini-switch that can activate any combination of the three pickups. Bridge only, bridge/middle, middle only, neck/middle, neck only, neck/bridge or all three at once. This guitar is capable of an amazing array of sounds from the ''woman tone'' to funky Strat-type rhythm sounds.
I also had a Bigsby B-5 vibrato tailpiece added to it when the repair was done.
I can't date the guitar to an exact year as the serial number has been eradicated over the years, but the body shape, ''bat-wing'' pickguard, neck shape and lack of volute place it at approximately 1968.
Please understand that this guitar is being sold ''as is'', as I cannot make any claims as to its authenticity. Please ask any questions before bidding.
Sold with non-original Gibson hardshell case.
It plays and sounds amazing!
Good luck bidding. I accept PayPal, and will ship anywhere in the lower 48.
