I'm putting up for auction my 1934 National Triolian Resonator Guitar Serial # 746 W stamped into the top of the headstock. Also stamped is ''PAT APPLIED FOR''
The guitar plays and sound great, the top looks like it's been sanded however, I've seen some on the internet that are unfinished, so I'm no sure it this one was painted and stripped. Someone painted two little d's on the front, must have been someone's initials I think and there is some duct take residue. The back looks like it was repainted from a pinkish red color to green and there is a screw in the body near the neck. The body has a small dent on the back and some scratches in the paint. Two screws are missing from the top and that seems to be it as far as issues go. The neck is in great shape and feels real nice. There are no cracks and the joint to the body is tight. The tuners are original and work fine. The guitar stays in tune and certainly does have that classic hillbilly musical sound.
No case and will ship worldwide.
Single cone resonator, round shoulder, upper F-holes, bound single layer fingerboard, dot fingerboard inlays.
Late 1934 Triolian specs:
14 frets clear of the smaller body.
Round basswood neck replaces maple.
