Up for grabs is a well used but very solid guitar in need of some love in the electric end of things.

1980 Gibson Les Paul Standard
Seymour Duncan 59 pick-ups
Includes original pickups, switch, cavity covers, jack, tuners
Comes with original case in quite beat up shape, but works fine
Includes strap with straplocks installed
Well worn on back
Fretboard excellent with some fret wear

So here's the deal. I bought this in the early 90's for $350 and it was basically as you see it now in terms of wear.
In my silliness, I decided the tuners and pickups needed 'updating' - ahhhhhh the folly of youth !
Pickups: Two brand new Seymour Duncan 59s are installed presently and they work. However, this is tricky and a
little complex. From web research, it appears this guitar never came with a bridge ground and that instead Gibson put
everything in metal cavities (cans) to keep noise down instead of grounding to the player. This was supposedly a great thing
for player safety from bad amps - interesting. So, when I installed these 59's, I found the jack in a can and the pots
encased in a can as well. So, out came the jack, the switch,
