Fender Vintage Vibrolux Amp 1960s Blackface Handwired
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-10-23)
Price : US $1,000.
For auction is an early 1960's Fender Blackface. Vibrolux handwired tube amplifier. Really cool amp, but has had some modifications. I will relay to you what I know from the previous owner. First, the output transformer was replaced to a Fender Twin transformer (sounds great, and is an improvement!). Second, speaker changed to 2 10'' Celestion Vintage 10 reissues, which involved changing the baffle to a 2x10 with different grill (Grill cloth appears to be vintage Fender, but is not stock to the amp). Knbos were also replaced to brown era knobs, but the ORIGINAL KNOBS are included (see photos). Finally, the serial number was scratched out on the chasis at some point in this amps 40 year history, but was owned by the previous owner for years. Amp is in fine working condition with GREAT Blackface tone and the TO DIE FOR Fender Tube Vibrolux tremolo. Tremolo is strong with DEEP pulsation. Really a great amp. This is what I know about the amp, but I am not a Fender expert. I have tried to include photos so that you can determine things for yourself. If you want authentic Fender Blackface Vibrolux tones for less, this is THE WAY to go and is priced accordingly due to the mods. Kills any new amp out there. Please note that due to the age of the amp this amp is being sold AS IS, so asks any questions ahead of time. No Reserve. US Sales only. Happy Bidding.
