Price : US $232.50
This is a Fender Squier Strat. It was made in the 1980's S/N E746334. This is NOT a made in china guitar like the new Squiers, it was made in Japan, and is a better quality guitar than the newer ones. It has the standard strat features like the classic 3 single coil pickup configuration with one volume & two tone controls. It has the narrow headstock and a 1 ply pickguard just like the old strats. It also has a fully contoured body, four bolt neck plate, maple fretboard and neck with a ''skunk stripe'' on the back. It also has a locking tremolo system, that was very popular in the 80's ( Everyone wanted to do dive-bombs like Eddie!) The locking string tree on the neck is missing some screws, so it only serves as a string tree, but it shouldn't be to much trouble to replace them if you want to get your Van Halen on. The bridge of course has the tuning adjusters and is missing the handle, which is available through most music stores for not much money. It has the classic strat sounds and would make a good back up axe or a great guitar for a beginner. The action is really nice, much, much better than most low cost starter guitars. Comes with a ''deluxe'' Fender padded gig bag with pockets for music books and extra strings etc.
