1936 Martin 00-17 serial #69214. This guitar is what you'd expect of a 70 year old guitar. It has some wonderful original elements and some bumps and bruises from years and years of use. I'll describe this to my knowledge and welcome any questions. The guitar is all mahogany and the richness from this aged wood is a fantastic warm sound with very even rounded attack. The Martin decal appears to be original, as well as the tuners and the pickguard. At some point the whole guitar seems to have been refinished with a clear coat. Fortunately this has all worn off the neck from playing and the neck feels fantastic. The rest of the body has various nicks and dings and a repaired area on the lower bass bout of the body. The bridge was replaced while I owned it and while it's not the prettiest, job it has held well for the last 3 years. I also had a Martin end pin pickup installed. I figured since there were other repairs and maintenance done and I was using this as a player, I didn't feel bad about altering this guitar as it has it's share of bumps and thumps. The only issue I can see with the guitar is that the bridge pulls upwards on the top of the guitar giving it an angle that makes the action high. I've played this guitar for 5 years and recorded with it was well as traveled with it. I have no reservations about the stability of the bridge. The new owner can rework that if they choose to. I am listing this guitar for what I paid for it 5 years ago before any expenses on the bridge work, pickup installation and cost of the case. This Martin is a piece of history and a player as well. I didn't think I'd ever sell it but my loss is your gain. Inclu
