This is a Washburn Wing Series Falcon electric guitar, serial number 821722. It was probably crafted in the ''Wing'' era by Washburn, so the date would range from 79' - mid 80's.

Double cutway body ( black ) with cream binding on top face. Top is contoured and very comfortable to play. Electronics are original except that the pickups have been changed to the awesome Rio Grande Texas / BBQ set. The guitar has 2 volumes and 2 tones. The tone knobs are push / pull selectors and will split the pickups for an even wider array of tones. The bridge is the awesome Kahler flyer tremolo system. This is the most touch sensitive tremolo ever. Just the tip on one finger on the trem arm can yield dramatic trem results. You can also go crazy and dive bomb this thing and it will return to correct pitch / tune every time.

The guitar also has dunlop strap locks which have been counter-sunk into the body. The ends that attach to the guitar strap ar enot provided. The neck is a slim profile ( also black ) with a new set of Gotoh locking tuners installed. The Kahler lock placed after the nut was no longer necessary and was removed. A couple of tiny screw holes exist where the lock nut used to be.

I bought this guitar as detailed above in 2007. It is an absolute monster and I love it! The Rio Grande pickups sound awesome, especially the neck position! Buckets of cream!!! Thanks to the original owner for the mod, it makes this guitar a real keeper! If you have the chance to buy one of these vintage gems, DO IT!!!! I have owned 29 electrics including Paul Reed Smith, Gibson, Carvin, Schecter, Fender, and five other Washburns. This one and my 80's era Aria Pro II TS-350 are the kings of the hill! I would put either guitar up against just about anything out there! ALL HAIL THE FALCON!!!!
