This is a 2001 Taylor model 810 acoustic guitar. It has a Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides and ebony fret board. Original plush hard shell case.
It is in beautiful shape, no cracks or dents and just some minor pick sctratches on the pickguard Frets 2 through 8 have been professionally replaced which is evident by the marks in the binding around the neck. The compensated saddle has been replaced with an ivory one, the bridge pins have been changed from black pins to white pins and the original owner has added a piece of ivory between the saddle and bridge pins, which he claims added tone and sound in that the strings ride on the ivory. The guitar has been professionally set up so the strings are low with no string buzz.
The wood bridge was NOT removed from the guitar. The last owner dremeled a slot into the bridge and the ivory sets in the groove. If this bothers you, have a qualified luthier replace it. These Taylors are great sounding and playing guitars. This one is no acception it is in fantastic condition.
