This 2007 guitar was purchased brand new at the end of February and subsequently gently used and professionally maintained during a ten day concert tour. It has sat in its case since mid March. It has perhaps 16 hours of total playing time on it. In the course of its brief tour of active duty it was hand carried onto 3 airplanes, in a calton case, and stored in the carry-on overhead compartments it has never been checked or subjected to any baggage handling. It has no evident wear, scuffs, scratches or dings of any sort. It has its original tags, un-registered warrantee, re-issue-vintage case (immaculate, never taken outside), along with the original Martin box and all the original packing materials. Without any exaggeration it is virtually mint.

Martin has gone to extradorniary lengths to get it right with this instrument - even using the same cuts of Adirondack bracing for the top.  The guitar has a very wide-grained Adirondack spruce top, and Adirondack bracing; Hide glue construction throughout; a chocolate brown mahogany back, sides and neck; a large neck that is a spot-on reproduction of the 37 neck (the earliest of these re-issues had a slightly clumsy neck, but this one nails it); ebony fretboard, bridge and endpins; a tortoise shell pickguard UNDERNEATH the finish, as per true 1937 construction; and a uniquely beautiful Brazilian rosewood overlay on the peghead.

Tonally, it has the very powerful bass that you would expect, but it also has the much rarer, and more crucial, thick, ''non-pingy'' highs that chime on the high E and B strings even all the way up the neck.  This might...
