It's not a Gibson Les Paul, it's a Japanese made copy from the late 70's or early 80's. If you do a bit of research you'll see that a lot of the copies in that era were considered to be as good or better than the real thing. I don't think this one is better than the real deal but it's a nice guitar. As far as value goes there's no real way to know because it's not a highly collectable name so it's not really listed anywhere. There also a lot of different models of Les Paul copy, even from this company alone... I searched the web for a long time and found some references to the different models and while some went dirt cheap, others went for up to $1000. The only site I found that came close to describing my particular model only said it could be worth from $400 to $1000. If you google 'revival hondo les paul' you'll see that site at the top. While mine's not one of the cheap ones, I don't think it's one of the $1000 models either. I can only tell you what it's worth to me... I think it plays and sounds as good as say a high end epiphone and it's in extremely good shape for it's age so I feel it's worth $400 - $500, but I'm no expert either, in the end you'd have to look into it and make that call.
