Made by Matsumoku in Japan and marketed in the US by Unicord, the body is pretty much a straight up strat copy but with two humbuckers in place of the three single coils Fender uses. Originally wired from the factory with coil tapping and series/parallel switches, the particular one I have was rebuilt by the previous owner from his spare parts bin as he purchased it as a body/neck project which was why I got it so cheap. Factory brass nut and bridge really brighten up the dark tone normally associated with humbuckers. Some players will like this, some won't.

It's nice and light, too. If you want a double humbucker guitar that doesn't feel like a lead weight around your neck *cough* Gibson *cough* :) and like the look of a strat but want a sound that is unlike either a Fender or a Gibson, then this might be the guitar for you, if you can find one.

I have an original model in Red. It sounds and ooks great. I bought mine used for $375, but it weas well worth it. It looks like someone bought this one and hardly ever played it. They may have just put it away in a closet somewhere. Lots of tones available and the neck is a pleasure to play.
