Yamaha FG-375S II. Large D-size. This was Yamahas top end guitar second only to the L series guitars. Made in the early to mid-eighties. It has a solid Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides ( I don't know if these are solid). I am very reluctant to sell this one, but somthing has got to go. It is in great condition, and it sounds incredible. It sounds as good as my Martins. Nice Yamaha tuners that stay in tune for months.
There is one small ding on front of guitar (see pics). There is three tiny pock marks on the back of guitar that are barely noticable and would not show up in photos (looks like it was tapped with a bic pen). Also there are a few light marks (handleing marks) on back. I was not able to capture these in the photographs(could be polished out). I only mention them because I want to describe the guitar as accurately as possible. There is a smudge in the finish on the side near the neck that looks like a fingerprint, (kind of cloudy looking-see photos), .
Where the neck attaches there is an imperfection in the lacquer. It is under the surface.
Every thing is tight; Bridge, neck etc. Has some light pick marcks on pickguard. There is no wear to the frets or fretboard. The guitar sat in its case for most of its life and had classical strings on it until I bought it a year ago. The case has a few marks on it. It comes with a key. There was a sticker on it but it was removed. You can see in the pictures where the sticker was. Comes with original hang tags.
Features include gloss natural finish, solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, 14-fret mahogany neck, cream-bound 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, large pearl diamond inlays, 1-3/4" nut width, 25.4" scale, rosewood bridge, blsck plastic pickguard, cream-bound body, wood fiber rosette and top & back trim, w-b-w-bound headstock, gold tuners.
Not many of these out there especially in this good of condition. Get it while you can. Thanks for looking
