This is a nice Vintage Custom Nashville Telecaster in Blonde from the early 70's. This custom telecaster has a 3 pickup Nashville style configuration, with a 5 way switch (instead of the traditional 2 pickup/ 3 way switch setup). Most Tele Customs have humbucker as well, this guitar's history is not certain. This has the name Torres and era correct logo stamped in green on the neck, it is believed to have been made around '73 based on other Teles seen with this stamp.
Also, it has an ''F'' neckplate, and the headstock does not have the ''Made in USA''. This guitar really plays great and is super versatile. The tone has the typical Tele sound but with a strong bottom. This has the original finish which has aged to a beautiful Butterscotch color. It also some has some very cool Birdseye figuring on the neck. This guitar has seen some action. There are several chips and nicks all over, but none bad.
There is play wear that's worn the finish down to sealer on the edges and next to pickguard. Not much is known about the electronicsbut it sounds excellent. The guitar does play great, the neck is perfect other than a few minor nicks. Very little fretware too for a guitar this old. There is a serious case of beltbuckle rash on the back of the guitar, but this isn't into the wood, mostly just above the seal coat.
