You are bidding on a 1965 Guild T50 guitar in very good condition. This add is a revision of the earlier one as to provide the correct date of the guitar and ad additional photos. I got a few emails that tell me that this guitar is actually an early 1965. At some point in 1965 Guild went to alphanumeric serial numbers. This Guitar was manufactured earlier in the year while they were still using the 5 digit numeric. The serial number for your reference is 40274. I had previously thought it to be a 1968 or 1969. The guitar was manufactured in Hoboken, New Jersey. The guitar has been in the family since its purchase and I am the second in the family to own it.

The only flaws that are evident to me are: 1) there is some chipping of the finish at the bottom of the body of the guitar and some minor nicks and abrasions on each side of the bottom (the photograph shows the very worst spot). 2) the back of the guitar has some light surface scratching which I believe to be typical with normal use. 3)The only other issue is that on the top left front of the body guitar there is a scratch that goes through the finish. I have done the best I could to photo the problem.

The guitar plays very well acoustically and electrically and the volume and tone keys work flawlessly. The tuning keys work perfectly and the neck is straight. According to family members, the only thing that has ever been replaced on the guitar is strings.

The case is the original and is in pretty good shape. On the very top of the case there is what looks like specklings if white paint, Also one of the neck supports is missing.

Feel free to email questions about the guitar. Before emailing questions, please understand I am by no means an expert on Guild or any other guitars. I will be glad to answer questions about the condition of the guitar and will email additional photos if needed. Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer...
